Description	Based on direct visualisation of any joint, either arthroscopic or open, the Outerbridge classification system was developed to be a simple, easy-to-use, and reproducible grading system of articular cartilage lesions.
Use	During surgery to document and grade articular cartilage damage severity
Purpose	To assess and grade any joint during either arthroscopic or open surgery, the extent and severity of articular cartilage lesions/damage.
